This is a full day school holiday programme.
It is recommended for children aged 8 or 9 years upwards.
9am - 3pm Thursday 18th April 2024
There is a maximum of 6 participants. Your young baker will have their own allocated work station and equipment in a modern kitchen space. They will be taught the basics of kitchen etiquette, baking techniques and terminology. They will work through the whole process of creating three recipes.
Baking menu for the April school holiday course will include: making and decorating cupcakes, creating mini pizzas from scratch and baking a small batch of melt in the mouth, choc chip cookies
Participants will be taught all aspects of baking and kitchen process
1. reading recipes
2. measuring and weighing
3. kitchen tidiness/hygene and clean up
4. baking techniques
5. cooking process
All ingredients, tools and packaging will be provided along with recipes.
Lunch will be provided along with aprons and hair nets. They just need to bring themselves and a 'can do' attitude.
